This versatile product is suitable for use with most splash pans, making it compatible with a wide range of pottery wheel setups. The Clay Shield comes with 14 panels, each measuring 4 1/8" wide and 8 3/4" tall. When these panels are placed together, they form a 20" circle. However, please note that the actual working circle size will be larger as you need to allow for an opening to accommodate your hands while trimming.
The diameter of the circle will also vary based on the type of splash pan you have. In some cases, you may need to cut two panels to tuck them under a splash pan, allowing for a customized fit. Generally, the set of panels provides enough space for most potters to work comfortably.
